PHILADELPHIA - Head Coach Dave Stever has announced that the La Salle volleyball team recently raised $496.30 dollars for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in its "Dig for the Cure" match on November 9^th.

For each dig recorded in their season finale against Fordham, the Explorers received a monetary pledge from supporters. The team racked up 50 digs on the night.

Dig for the Cure was established by Charlotte Head Coach Lisa Marston in 2003. La Salle helped the Atlantic 10 raise $22,897.84 last season, the second highest total of any conference. As a whole, the campaign raised $72,431.90 in 2006. This year, they have already exceeded that total by $100,000.
