Hextall Makes Another All-Region Team

Jan. 2, 2008

PHILADELPHIA - Soccer Buzz Magazine released its All-Regional teams recently, and La Salle University's Kristin Hextall had been selected to the All Mid-Atlantic Third Team for the 2007 season.

The senior forward led the Atlantic 10 Conference in both goals scored (15) and points (36), which was also the second-best output ever by an Explorer in the school's history behind only Lisa McDermott's 1987 season of 17 and 42.

She finished her career at La Salle second all-time in goals (33), points (83), and games played (78), first in shots (234), fifth in assists (17), and tied for sixth in games started (71).

Hextall is the fourth Explorer ever honored by the organization. She joins Dana Gavaghan (1999 - Second Team), Amy Schneider (1999 - All-Freshman; 2000 - Second Team; 2001 - Third Team) and Jenna Guagenti (2004 - All-Freshman; 2006 - Third Team) as the only others recognized.

Earlier this season, she became only the fifth La Salle player named Atlantic 10 First Team All-Conference, joining Laura Winchester (1996), Gavaghan (1999), Tracey Spinelli (2000), Schneider (2001), and Guagenti (2006).

She also became only the fourth Explorer to be recognized by the NSCAA, as Spinelli (2000 - Third Team), Schneider (2001 - Second Team), and Guagenti (2006 - Third Team) have also been honored by that Association.
