PHILADELPHIA, PA- The La Salle University Division of Student Affairs held its annual student awards ceremony on Wednesday evening. Two La Salle student-athletes were among the major award winners.

Martha Kutteh, a senior on the women's tennis team, was honored with the Brother Emery C. Mollenhauer Award. The award is given to a graduating senior who best exemplifies the Lasallian values of charity and justices. Over the past four years, Martha has been involved in a number of service activities through University Ministry and Service.

George Attah-Asante of the men's soccer team received the John McShain award. This is given to a graduating senior who has maintained an excellent academic record and is considered by the faculty to have done the most for the public welfare of La Salle University. He is a native of Jamasi, Ghana.

Student-athletes comprised over 25% of the students honored at the ceremony this year.
