Rodney Green joins Darnell Harris on the All Big 5 squad
 
 
Harris and Green Named All Big 5

Philadelphia, PA - La Salle University men's basketball players Darnell Harris (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances) and Rodney Green (Philadelphia, PA/Prep Charter) have been named All Philadelphia Big 5 for the 2007-08 basketball season.

Harris, who led the Explorers in scoring with 16.6 points per game, set La Salle, Atlantic 10 and Big 5 career records for three-point field goals during the season was named First Team All-Big 5.  He finished his La Salle career with 342 makes and broke Gary Buchanan's (Villanova) mark to become the City Series' most prolific three-point shooter.  

Harris finished 16th on La Salle's all-time scoring list with 1631 points and recently won the 20th Annual NCAA three-point shooting contest televised nationally on ESPN where he defeated senior shooters from across the nation.

Also earning Big 5 post-season honors is sophomore Green who was the team's second leading scoring with an average of 13.4 points per game as the Explorers' primary point guard.  Green, who was named to the Atlantic 10 All-rookie team as a freshman has scored 809 points in his first two seasons.  He was named to the Big 5's second team.

The Explorers finished seventh in the Atlantic 10 (8-8) and advanced to the conference quarterfinals with six of its seven leading scorers underclassmen.
