Harris is Three-Point King!

San Antonio, TX- La Salle University senior guard Darnell Harris (Baltimore, MD/St. Frances) is the winner of the 20th annual NCAA three-point shooting contest held annually as part of the Final Four week festivities.

Harris defeated Tennessee senior Chris Lofton in the final round after the field had been narrowed from the original eight competitors.

In the first round of a head-to-head format, Harris defeated Drew Neitzel of Michigan State in direct competition.


 

 

Other competitors were Brian Roberts (Dayton), A.J. Graves (Butler), Jaycee Carroll (Utah State), Shan Foster (Vanderbilt) and Derrick Low (Washington State).

Harris finished his four-year La Salle career 16th on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,631 points, and also set La Salle, Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Big 5 career records with his 432 career three-point field goals.  He was sixth in the A-10 in scoring and was named second team All-Atlantic 10.
