Steve Kuttruff enters his second season as the men's and women's diving coach. Kutruff joined the La Salle coaching staff in the Fall of 2007. "I'm excited to be hired as the diving coach and to work with Matt, Jamie and the team" Kutruff commented upon joining the Explorers. "Their desire to build a championship program is apparent. That was one of the big factors in accepting the position. I'm looking forward to working with one of the best programs in the A10 and working towards that championship goal." Kuttruff is a graduate of Penn State University ('89) and competed for the Lions from 1985-1987. Since returning to the Philadelphia area, he has established the Centennial Diving program which has produced U.S. Junior Olympic finalists and Senior Zone finalists. "Steve's knowledge of the sport, experiences and positive attitude will serve him well here at La Salle," Head Swimming and Diving Coach Matt Nunnally said. "He was recommended by some of the premier diving coaches in the country and we are pleased to have someone of Steve's quality working with our team." In addition to daily coaching duties, Kuttruff will contribute to the team's management and recruiting responsibilities. Kuttruff has degrees in Art (Penn State University '89) and Education (West Chester University '05). He currently resides in West Chester. |
