We Cheer Strong, All Game Long!
The Cheerleading team is under the direction of Stephanie Stampone and plans for the future are looking bright as the team cheers hard for the Explorers in men's and women's basketball as well as football.
The mission of the cheerleaders is to support the athletic teams, students, faculty, staff and alumni of La Salle University.
As ambassadors, each team member is committed to representing La Salle University with spirit, pride, dignity and respect.
Our students strive to be positive role models and outstanding scholar-athletes.
Through dedication, hard work and tremendous school spirit, the cheerleaders will always attempt to promote a special and exciting environment for the entire La Salle Community.

Frequently Asked Questions About La Salle Cheerleading
- How many squads are there and what are their responsibilities?
- Currently La Salle University has one cheerleading squad to cover the responsibilities of Men's and Women's Basketball, various university functions, and special appearances.
- Who is eligible for tryouts?
- All La Salle students (in good academic standing) both male and female are eligible for tryouts. Transfer students and incoming freshmen are also eligible for tryouts with proof of acceptance to the University and clearance from training room upon submission of physical forms (See Athletic Training Tab for more information).
- Does La Salle University offer cheerleading scholarships?
- No, La Salle University does not offer cheerleading scholarships; however, educational scholarships and financial aid are available to all eligible students.
- When and where do tryouts take place?
- Tryouts for the 2008-2009 Cheerleading squad will be announced at a later date.

- How often do you practice?
- Currently the cheerleaders practice one to two nights per week at La Salle University.
- How do you tryout for the La Salle Mascot?
- Try-outs are held on a need basis. Currently, we are staffed with a full-time mascot but may hold future tryouts for a back-up. There are no scheduled tryouts at this time.
