PHILADELPHIA, PA - After receiving academic data for the fall 2007 semester, the La Salle University athletic department is proud to announce that student-athletes, both men and women, posted a combined grade point average of nearly 3.0 for the term. The mark exceeds the University average for the fall semester.

"Our student-athletes consistently demonstrate that they are committed to academic success by achieving at a higher level than the average student," said the Director of Academic Support Services Brother John Kane, F.S.C. "This semester is no exception as exhibited by the performance statistics in this report. It is what we know and expect of them and are proud of this commitment to excellence."

Nearly 500 student-athletes represented 23 varsity sports at La Salle University
